Churchill to Baker Lake to Cambridge Bay on July 4th

Made it to my base in Cambridge Bay yesteday, on July 4th.  Here are some videos from the route.  I also have a simulcast outside/inside cabin - landing at Baker Lake gravel strip.  Will download that soon.  Pretty sparse up here.

Helecopter takeoff just before my departure from Churchill.

Overflight of the town of Churchill, mouth of the Churchill River (small pod of beluga whales) and the Prince of Wales Fort (1731) and across at Cape Merry.

If you are intersted in the history of the Prince of Wales Fort,  built in 1731, (click here).

Flying at 8,000 feet MSL from Churchill to Baker Lake - over the Barren Lands

One hour ocean crossing - Queen Maud Gulf - leads in ice where polar bears lurk.
